About Us

COCOON was born out of a deeply personal experience shared by the founders, Alya and Karim Assad. Their journey is a testament to their unwavering commitment to family and their unrelenting pursuit of a better way to care for their loved ones.

Alya Assad, a seasoned expert with over two decades of experience in real estate, had achieved numerous successes in her ventures. However, it was a different kind of success that she sought when it came to her own family. Alya faced the challenge of finding a suitable, caring environment for her aging parents—a challenge that exposed the limitations of existing senior living options.

On the other hand, Karim Assad brought a wealth of knowledge as an IT and marketing expert, marked by the success of two tech startups, one of which had a significant collaboration with Google. Yet, he found himself navigating the complexities of senior care when his own parents required assistance.

Their shared experiences led Alya and Karim to envision a new way of caring for seniors. COCOON was born from their desire to provide an alternative that offers not just safety and care, but also an enriched and vibrant quality of life for seniors.
